Cancellations of IndiGo flights continued for the ninth consecutive day with over 70 fresh cancellations, most of them at the Bengaluru airport, Hindustan Times reports. Besides, a plea filed against the airline amid flight disruptions was heard by the Delhi High Court and the bench took note of the plight of passengers. Electoral reforms are at the centre of a politically charged debate in the Lok Sabha today, NDTV reports, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah expected to make a concluding speech. He is expected to highlight the government's roadmap for electoral transparency and other reforms. BJP president and Rajya Sabha leader JP Nadda is also expected to conclude the debate on 'Vande Mataram' today, setting a spirited close to the cultural and ideological discourse in the Upper House. Cambodia orders withdrawal of athletes from SEA Games in Thailand over safety fears, The Straits Times
Cambodia on Wednesday withdrew its entire delegation from the ongoing SEA Games in Thailand, citing serious safety concerns and urgent pleas from athletes’ families for their return. The Straits Times reports that the withdrawal was formalised in a letter from National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) secretary-general Vath Chamroeun to Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) chief executive officer Chaiyapak Siriwat, reportedly sent at 10.30am the same day. The letter did not specify the nature of the safety concerns, but its withdrawal comes amid concerns over escalating tensions at the border with Thailand, the report adds. Read the full report here.
Imran Khan could face death for treason for taking on Pakistan army: India Today
A week after the high-voltage face-off between the Pakistani establishment and supporters of former PM Imran Khan over alleged threats to his life, India Today reports that the civilian regime of PM Shehbaz Sharif has issued a fresh warning to the jailed leader. Senator and Sharif's advisor, Rana Sanaullah, on Monday said that treason cases against former premier Imran Khan could not be ruled out, according to reports. BBC: Australian teens navigate new world without social media as ban takes effect

World-first ban on social media accounts for under-16s came into effect in Australia today, BBC reports. Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, Snapchat, Kick, Twitch, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube are among the platforms required to enforce the new legislation. The government says the ban is aimed at protecting young people from harmful content, but the report adds that the critics suggest it could isolate vulnerable teenagers and push children into unregulated corners of the internet.
