India Today on Bombay High Court protecting Shilpa Shetty's personality rights
The Bombay High Court on Tuesday issued an order safeguarding the personality rights of actor Shilpa Shetty, India Today reports. An official statement from the actor's team confirmed the development, emphasising restraint against using or misrepresenting her name, image, voice, likeness or persona in any manner. Opposition attacks govt amid LPG shortage reports, Hindustan Times

Opposition parties on Tuesday stepped up their attack on the government as several restaurant bodies in India reported a shortage of LPG cylinders amid fuel supply concerns caused by the ongoing Middle East conflict. Hindustan Times reports that the criticism came even as the government invoked the Essential Commodities Act (EC Act) to ensure uninterrupted supply of domestic cooking gas, directing refineries and petrochemical units to maximise production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and divert key hydrocarbon streams to the LPG pool. Opposition leaders criticised the government over the reported shortage of LPG cylinders and the rule requiring consumers in cities to wait 25 days before booking another cylinder. Iran says oil blockade will continue until attacks end, The Straits Times
The Straits Times reports that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on March 10 they would not allow “one litre of oil” to be shipped from the Middle East if US and Israeli attacks continue. This prompted a warning from US President Donald Trump that the US would hit Iran much harder if it blocked exports from the vital energy-producing region, the report adds. Indian Express: 1.5 lakh kg Amul products destroyed after Jaipur firm found ‘changing date on expired items’
In a major action, Indian Express reports that Rajasthan’s Food Safety Department has destroyed about 1.5 lakh kilograms of Amul’s expired non-dairy food items in Jaipur, which were allegedly being prepared for sale by erasing the date and adding a new one. Principal Secretary of the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department, Gayatri Rathore, said that a person filed a complaint on the 181 helpline, claiming that Messrs Athlete Distributor was preparing to sell expired products in Jaipur’s Kho Nagorian area. Following the complaint, the department dispatched a team from the Chief Medical Officer, Jaipur II, to inspect the site, the report says. Read the full report here.

Counting is continuing in Nepal as the party of rapper and ex-Kathmandu mayor Balendra Shah is potentially just one seat away from winning a supermajority in parliament, BBC reports. The Rastriya Swatantra Party's win would mark the first time in decades that a single party has won a majority in Nepal, which has a two-system format that makes it difficult for any one party to win outright.
