Making fun of someone’s pronunciation, especially in English, a language associated with caste and class privilege, can be construed as an act of humiliation, if the person thus ridiculed is from a caste protected by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

गेल्या ६ दिवसांपासून पुण्यात आंदोलन करत असलेल्या महाराष्ट्र राज्य सेवा आयोगाच्या परीक्षा देणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांचं आंदोलन 'गैरकायदेशीर' आहे, असं म्हणत पुणे पोलिसांनी त्यांना नोटीशी पाठवायला सुरुवात केली आहे. १ ऑक्टोबरच्या रात्रीपासून पुण्यातील एस एम जोशी मार्गावर शेकडो एमपीएससीचे विद्यार्थी एमपीएससीचे अध्यक्ष विवेक भिमनवार यांचा राजीनामा तसंच आयोगाच्या कार्यवाहीत पारदर्शकतेचा मागणी करत आंदोलन करत आहेत.
